Strong nonprofits are the key to sustainable and healthy communities. Capacity Blueprint’s Senior Advisor has over 19 years of direct nonprofit administration, fundraising, and strategy experience spanning different causes ranging from healthcare, youth, education and senior services.
Capacity Blueprint was co-founded in March of 2020 by David Byrd and Henry Pacheco. While Henry has moved on to a different role, he remains a close advisor to the organization.
David Byrd, MNA
Senior Advisor
David is a Senior Advisor at Capacity Blueprint. He has a Masters of Nonprofit Administration (MNA) from the University of San Francisco and is a graduate of Connecticut College, where he earned a degree in Economics. He also has a Certificate of Financial Success for Nonprofits from Cornell University and a certificate in Nonprofit Board Consulting from Boardsource.
A grant writer for 13 years, David has worked and consulted for numerous organizations to help secure nearly $60 million for vital programs and services through numerous county, city and federal grants as well through private foundation funding. He has extensive experience in healthcare, human services, and educational organizations. David serves as Treasurer for De Colores, volunteers for the YMCA Stonestown Board of Managers, the MNA Advisory Board at USF, and for ShapeUp San Francisco’s Capacity Building Action Team and Steering Committee.
